Chandler Rice Winslow
Personal and Powerful
Chandler believes the most important part of her role as an attorney is to relieve the stress clients feel when they are facing life-changing decisions.
Chandler practices and is experienced in all areas of family law, tackling issues from complex property settlements to termination of parental rights and adoption. She knows and understands the difficulty of making decisions concerning one’s financial future or possession schedules of children, so she treats every client with empathy and understanding.
Chandler also helps individuals and businesses with employment-related issues including separation agreements, discrimination claims, and preparation of handbooks and policies for businesses. She understands that employment matters can be just as personal and life-altering as family issues, so she provides not only compassion, but also the zeal to achieve what her clients deserve.
Chandler also sets the record straight when her clients are falsely accused of wrong-doing. In one of Chandler’s most heart-wrenching cases, she helped defend adoptive parents who were falsely accused of child abuse. After an emotionally draining trial, the Judge dismissed the case against them. Likewise, in employment cases, Chandler has represented professionals faced with unwarranted accusations concerning their abilities or ethics. Her diligent work has helped to restore their reputations. To Chandler, providing a client with the opportunity to receive justice is the most rewarding accomplishment she can achieve.
More Than Just a Lawyer
Chandler enjoys doing work that she loves – helping others – but her pride and joy are her two daughters. She considers it important to show her two young girls that women can have a fulfilling profession while balancing the responsibilities of parenthood. Granted, doing it all can be complicated and at times downright exhausting, but she would not change one thing in her life.
Chandler’s inspiration to become a lawyer started when she was young. Her father grew up on a hog farm in Arkansas and then pursued a law degree to build a better life for himself and his family. Not only was he a great attorney who worked endless hours on behalf of his clients, but he also was a family man who only wanted the best for his family. Chandler pursued a similar lifestyle with the hopes of continuing her father’s legacy of diligent legal service and devotion to family. While her father has left her with big shoes to fill, Chandler accepts the challenge –devoting her life to both clients and family.
Traditional yet Innovative
All of the attorneys at Brousseau Naftis & Massingill believe there is power in words. Words, proverbs, sayings, and quotations have the power to connect the present to the past. The words and sayings that each attorney holds onto are meaningful in shaping the firm’s culture and philosophies.
Chandler lives by the mantra, “Consistent effort over time pays off in the end.” She understands it is the little things, done regularly, that make a difference. While every day cannot be perfect, one can always try one’s best – and that is what Chandler does on behalf of her clients. She reminds clients that even imperfect and challenging situations can be won if hard-fought.
