Madhvi Patel

Personal and Powerful

Madhvi concentrates on transactional matters including commercial real estate, business formation, corporate law, and estate planning and probate. She has been practicing commercial real estate for the majority of her career – representing owners, developers, investors, landlords, tenants, purchasers, and sellers, which has provided her with the insight into each facet of a real estate transaction.

She did not start practicing probate until experiencing firsthand how confusing it was to settle the estate of a loved one. When her father-in-law passed away unexpectedly without a will, she experienced the confusion and emotional toll that the administration of an estate can bring. This process showed her how important a knowledgeable advocate is.

Today, she aims to be the calm of the storm for her clients – no matter what challenges they face. She respects her clients’ grieving process, whether their loss is a personal one or one related to a family business.  Madhvi’s primary goal as an attorney is to reduce the burden on clients by providing them with trustworthy advice and zealous representation.

More Than Just a Lawyer

Madhvi was born in Nadiad, India and moved to the United States with her parents when she was just two years old. Madhvi’s family lived in California and New Jersey, where she learned English and adjusted to American life before settling in North Carolina. After spending most of her life in North Carolina, she moved to Texas where she lives with her husband and two young sons. When she is not working or spending quality time with her family, you can find her gardening, crafting, or cooking.

Madhvi was always interested in business and the law from an early age, but when her uncle told her that both her grandfather and great-grandfather were lawyers in India, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in law.  With this piece of ancestry in mind, Madhvi decided to carry on her family’s legal legacy in the United States. For Madhvi, legal representation is not just a way of earning a living, it is a fate and legacy she takes seriously – devoting the utmost to her clients as a way of honoring her family as well.

Traditional yet Innovative

All of the attorneys at Brousseau Naftis & Massingill believe there is power in words. Words, proverbs, sayings, and quotations have the power to connect the present to the past.  The words and sayings that each attorney holds onto are meaningful in shaping the firm’s culture and  philosophies.

Madhvi’s favorite quote is, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” She takes that advice seriously knowing that the practice of law is a privilege which can be used to better the lives of others. She strives to be a role model to her children and use her natural gifts to make the world a better place. She approaches everyone in a friendly and respectful manner eager to prove that kindness still holds a place in the legal profession.
