Brousseau Naftis & Massingill attorney Ron Massingill has been named to the annual Texas Super Lawyers list for the 19th consecutive year for his work in family law. His previous accolades include spots on The Best Lawyers in America, as well as D Magazine’s Best Lawyers in Dallas. He has been rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell, the highest level of recognition by the lawyer ratings service, since 2020.

“Ron’s the type of guy who, when he enters a room, everyone knows,” said named shareholder Matthew Naftis. “Ron is the person you want on your side when things get tough, so it’s no surprise that he’s been named to Super Lawyers going on two decades.”

A Leader of Hood County, Texas

Ron also serves as Hood County Judge, on the Hood County Juvenile Board, the Hood County Bail Bond Board, as treasurer of the Hood County Hospital District Board, and Hood County director of emergency management. Ron is a life fellow of the State Bar of Texas Foundation and has been admitted to practice before the Texas Supreme Court for more than 50 years.

When he isn’t practicing law, he tends to his horses at his family’s ranch. As a former member of the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, Ron is still committed to community service work that helps veterans. He also supports local law enforcement and hosts an annual elk chili lunch for Hood County law enforcement officers at his ranch.
